Description

Say hello to the next iteration of our popular Axiom High Tech Webbing. This version drops the weight slighty and ups the strength significantly, all while keeping the price the same.

We've also added an additional colored strip on one side to help differentiate the sides a bit better. One face has a green marker and the other has an orange one, both offset to the same edge.

Made in China, measured, cut, and sewn in Colorado.

Sewing

Keeping it High-Tech Only extends even to the sewn loop!

We exclusively sew our sewn loops on Axiom with Dyneema sewing thread. This gives us the ability to shrink the sewing patch to just 50mm long, making the sewn loops VERY compact. We also offer Naked sewn loops, which are sewn loops without a protective sleeve. Since Axiom lives in the middle sections of highlines, the sewn loops will likely always be used at a segment connection. These spots are prime suspects for unwanted oscillations due to the regular frequency of weight hotspots.

Please note: we are continuously working on our sewn loop designs, so the sewn loop you receive with your webbing may differ from older product photos. Whatever you receive is our current best/strongest design.

Stretch

If you're going big, you don't want to have to tension big!

Axiom, being a pure high-tech webbing, stretches very little. However, since it is made from generic HMPE yarn, it will experience creep over its lifetime. Creep is the slow, time-dependent deformation of a material under constant stress. On lines rigged for long-term use (i.e. permarigs), your webbing will grow the more it is used. This is why we recommend backups on Axiom mainlines to be 7% longer than the main: on the initial rigs the backup will be too long, but with more usage the main will grow into that 7% longer backup.

Due to the very low stretch of Axiom, it is recommended to only use it for highlines longer than 200m. For anything shorter, we recommend adding a nylon segment of 15m or longer at either end of the line.
