Lightweight & Strong

A strength-to-weight ratio that is built for big highline projects

Green 20 weighs in at 53 g/m (3.56 lbs/100 ft) with a strength of 30.0 kN (6,744 lbf). This gives Green 20 quite a high strength-to-weight ratio, packing the maximum punch in the smallest package. This ensures an easy hike in and a confident walk on the line.

Green 20 is Lightweight and Strong

The construction of Green 20 puts a lot of fibers in the middle of the webbing, hidden from the elements. This gives Green 20 an extended lifespan when used for the long term. It will retain its strength and stretch better than other nylon webbings due to how much yarn is hidden from the faces. So for those permarig projects, Green 20 is a great option for a strong nylon that is also quite bouncy.

Three-Zone Construction

Narrow and thick for cozy walks and catches.

The Strength Zone

Due to Green 20’s exceptional thickness, the Strength Zone comprises the majority of the webbing’s structure. These high-strength yarns are embedded deep within the core, shielded from environmental exposure, which significantly enhances Green 20’s durability and resistance to heavy use.

The Protective Zone

Surrounding the strength zone fibers is a protective layer of nylon yarn. These yarns are similar to the yarn in the strength zone, but are woven tightly in a twill weave, which resists abrasion and provides a very smooth and soft face that feels great on the hands and feet. This protective layer serves as both a barrier to the Strength Zone and an interface to the walker, making it a critical component in the structure of weave.

Green 20 Weave Zones

The Edge Zones

At the edge of Green 20 is a vibrant group of green nylon yarn. This zone is not woven any differently than the protective zone, but it is made with a solid color to enhance the visibility towards the edge of the webbing, giving Green 20 a nice visual affect while it is being walked on. Since Green 20 is so thick, these edges naturally become quite round and soft to the touch, making pillowing unecessary.

High Stretch for Dynamic Performance

A great deal of stretch for a great deal of fun.

Green 20 feels as if it stretches infinitely. It does not compare to a freestyle webbing, but for bigger lines where dynamics are preferred, Green 20 shines. You can achieve massive dynamic moves without ever feeling like you hit the bottom, which is refreshing for a strength-first nylon webbing design.

Green 20 stretch

Not only does Green 20 exhibit a more playful stretch curve than typical high-strength nylon webbings, but its performance is optimized within the standard highline tension range of 1 - 6 kN (225 - 1,350 lbf). This ensures a consistent and responsive feel without excessive effort when tensioning.
