A new generation of an amazing longline webbing from Balance Community. Continuing the life of Mantra with the 4th version named Flight.
Mantra MK4: Flight is a brand new style of webbing with a natural low stretch weave and astounding features that make it great for lines of any length.
Flight is the next generation of longline webbing from Balance Community, optimizing for big distances and easy rigging.
Mantra MK4 is a blast from the past where big heavy slackline webbings were the norm. Clocking in at a whopping 76 grams per meter, Mantra is a beast! Rigging a webbing with this much weight can be an awesome experience. On one hand, any movement in the line will be greatly exagerated. On the other hand, since it's so heavy, getting it moving in the first place is much harder. If you are a stable walker, Mantra MK4 can be one of the most pleasant walking experiences out there. If you are a wild walker, it can be one of the hardest lines you've been on.
Because of how burly Mantra MK4 is with the amount of material in the weave and the multi-layer structure, it works fantastically as a perma-rig webbing. The majority of the strength of the webbing lies beneath the surfaces, giving it tremendous lifespan compared to lighter-weight webbings.
A by-product of how much polyester is in Mantra is it's fantastically low stretch. However, this low stretch is all natural as no post-weaving processing is done. A natural low stretch gives Mantra a smooth stretch curve that elongates organically rather than in a stiff and manufactured type of way. A natural stretch curve adds stability to a webbing rather than giving it a reactive sort of feel, stabilizing the walking experience.
Compare the stretch of Mantra MK4 to our other webbings on our Webbing Stretch page.
Green against Purple is a great contrast in colors, but it's a soft contrast that's easy on teh eyes. Easily spot twists without a jarring difference in colors across the length of your line. When your line flickers in the wind, the flashing of the 2 colors is very mild and pleasant to look at. A great feature for a webbing you are bound to spend tons of time on.
