Method

Configuration Alpine WebLock 6.20 to Alpine WebLock 6.20

Test configuration to determine strength retention of this particular webbing in the 6-series Alpine Weblock (for 20mm webbings)

Each AWL6 is anchored to the test bed with a Van Beast Shackle (usually 1/2" or 5/8", depending on the webbing strength). The webbing sample is installed in each weblock in the same orientation on both ends with a minimal tail (75 - 150 mm (3 - 6 inches)). The sample is then pulled to failure.

  • Sample Length - 1.5 m (5 ft)

  • Pull Rate - ~350 mm per minute
