The 4th Annual Humboldt Classic slackline competition will be on October 22nd at 3pm @ Far North Climbing Gym in Arcata CA.

The whole event is on October 22nd and 23rd. The trickline contest is on Saturday, October 22nd from 3-6 PM PST at Far North Climbing Gym (www.farnorthclimbing.com). We will have places to sleep for everyone on Saturday night for everyone that is planning on attending the event. The competition will be broadcast live via the internet! There will be live music during and after the competition by NORTHTOWN DUB. Beer will be available for non-competitors from the Ski Lounge.

It's about that time! The Humboldt Classic 2011 is finally here! The 4th annual THC is going to be bigger and better than ever! Hosted by Balance Community this year, we are planning on having a trickline contest in Far North Climbing Gym on the new RAGEline (prototype). Different from previous years, we will have the line at about 50-60 ft. long at about 4 ft. high. We will hopefully be able to have a girls and boys competition (pending whether or not we have enough girls). The style of the competition will be a tournament based bracket where competitors will go head-to-head during a 5 minute round.

The day after the competition (Sunday, October 23rd), we will be having a festival at Redwood Park in Arcata, CA. We are planning on rigging a few longlines on different materials offered from Balance Community (including Spider Silk MKII, Mantra, and Type-18), plus there are a number of highlines that will be rigged in the trees of various lengths.

As a side note, Balance Community will have gear for sale at the event including various fixed lengths of different webbings, and various pieces of hardware.
